Ron Becker is program leader of the Interreg project QRM 4.0 on behalf of the Data Intelligence research group at Zuyd University of Applied Sciences. QRM stands for Quick Response Manufacturing in Industry 4.0. Customers of manufacturing companies expect fast delivery times and fully customized products. This forces these SMEs to innovate and renew production processes. Shortening lead times requires people-oriented process innovation (Quick Response Manufacturing) and innovative digital technologies (Industry 4.0). The Interreg QRM4.0 project supports SMEs in their QRM journey by enabling them to roll out digital technologies through coaching, training and sharing expertise and best practices.
